All
about Brandy "the Beagle"
I
adopted Brandy at 5 weeks old, within a week she had almost died, my vet
told me he really did not think she would make it through the night. However,
if I wanted to I could take her home and feed her broth by a feeding syringe
every 2 hours so she would not get dehydrated. I set the alarm clock and
every two hours I woke up and fed her. The next morning I knew if I left
her by herself she would surely die. So I stuck her under my jacket and
took her to work with me, feeding her the warm broth every two hours and
talking to her. As you can see she made it and grew to be a healthy Beagle.
Brandy
had a love for life, I have never seen an animal want to get so very much
out of life as she did. It was as if very second she was alive she wanted
to experience and do things. That in itself sometimes can be a very tricky
thing for even a human not to mention a little Beagle. She was a member
of i-barc a on-line beagle group on the Web.
Brandy
loved her stuffed toys, going for bye bye in the truck, treats and eating.
She
was a tri-colored Beagle and stood 15" tall. Her favorite toy was
a stuffed dog named Baby.
If
ever I was working around the house on a repair she was very much into
tools and would take off with them saving them like they were her very
own treasures.
She
passed away in early May of 1998 one evening at ten before 10:00pm.
She was buried in her back yard that she grew up in along side of Chelsea.
As my fur-kid she is dearly missed.
